Maxim Kabalskis

Maxim Kabalskis is one of the leaders of the drum society of the CIS countries, a professional musician of international class, composer, arranger, drum teacher, winner of the all-Russian and finalist of the international stage of the prestigious DRUM-OFF GLOBAL 2020 competition. As an ambassador of peace, he completed an internship under the Open World program at the Dave Brubeck Institute (University of the Pacific, California, USA).


He played concerts with world-class musicians, Grammy Award artists: Bob Mintzer, Jerry Bergonzi, Bob Sheppard, JD Walter, Conrade Hervig, Seamus Blake, Boris Kozlov (leader of the Charles Mingus Orchestra), Steve Turre, Sasha Perez, Deborah Davis, Bobby Martinez, Dudu Fisher, Karl Frierson and many others. etc.

As well as with outstanding musicians of the Russian pop, jazz and rock scene: Dmitry Malikov, Noize MC, Murad Kazhlaev, Igor Butman, David Goloshchekin, Anatoly Kroll, Andrey Kondakov, Sergey Galanin and many others.


He took part in music festivals: "Invasion" (2004), "Wings" (2005), "VDOH" (2007), "Madrid XXIX Jazz Festival" (2012), "DoDzh" (2001-2004), "JJ-JAZZ" (2013-2022), "Swing Up" (2001), "Jazz Province" (2006), "The Charm of Jazz" (2016) and many others. etc.


He was a member of the groups "KASTA", "Fruit Kefir", "Cheboza" (Vasily Oblomov), "Bordo", the quartet of Evgeny Pobozhy, the jazz orchestra of Kim Nazaretov, the big band of Georgy Garanyan, many small bands in the styles of rock, funk, fusion, jazz, Latin, folk. As part of some of them, he took part in TV and radio shows: "Air", "Not a Blue Light", "Brother Alive", "Sound Clash" and many others. Currently, he is actively engaged in creative work as part of the young orchestra of Ilya Filippov, and is also working on recording his solo album.
